Installing Jetprint Visual Media Wall Art, Wall Quotes and Decals

All of our self adhesive vinyl products are made using the highest quality base materials from leading suppliers. By refusing to cut corners we manufacture a product that is designed to last but also to be easy to remove when the time comes.

Install

Your vinyl wall art or vinyl wall quote will come with a complete set of printed instructions.

We make it really easy to install here are the steps

Materials required - some masking tape, cleaning cloths, credit card or squeegee if possible.

1. Make sure the wall that you want to apply the graphic to is clean and free from any defects. (Note: if you have recently painted make sure to let the paint cure for at least 2 weeks before installing)
2. Leaving the backing material on, position the wall graphics where you want them to be and place a piece of masking tape in the centre (top and bottom) to keep it in place.
3. If you have some help available now is the time to bring them in. You will be removing the backing material from half of the job and it helps to have some extra hands to keep everything off the wall. Just before you do, make sure that you rub over the entire graphic with the edge of the credit card or squeegee to make sure it sticks to the application film. Once you have done that start to carefully peel the graphic and application film away from the backing sheet on one side only (remember you have the graphic taped to the wall don't you?)
4. Your assistant can now hold this while you carefully cut the backing paper which has just been removed from the graphic. Make sure they don't let the graphic or application film touch the wall or back onto itself.
5. Have them hold it nice and taught and using your credit card or squeegee start to work the graphic onto the wall starting from the centre and working your way out to the edge. Try to push the graphic so that you are driving the air away towards the edge to avoid getting bubbles.
6. You can take a breather now if you like, all going well half of the graphic is on the wall. Just do the same with the other half and you are almost done.
7. Just before you remove the application film, go over the graphic one more time with the credit card or squeegee to get a good bond with the wall.
8. Now carefully remove the application film making sure nothing comes up from the wall with it.

That's it, make yourself a coffee, grab a glass of vino or whatever takes your fancy because your done. Admire your handiwork, yes, it looks good doesn't it?

Removal

Our wall graphics and quotes use material that is designed to be fully removable. Best advice is don't leave the graphic on for the next 20 years, the vinyl is designed to remain fully removable for anything up to 5 years. That could be a lot less if the graphics are in the sun.

Before you attempt to remove them, gently warm up the graphic with a hair dryer on low setting. This will re-activate the adhesive and allow you to peel off the decal. You may need to clean the wall with either a citrus based cleaner of methylated spirits to remove any residual adhesive.
